Running up the hill

After yesterday's miserable weather today's was glorious, sunny, clear, not too cold and hardly any wind. We couldn't stay in (and a lot of others thought the same) and headed to the hills.
Running would have been impossible without the spikes and I wore them for at least 5 of the 8 1/2 mile run - and got various comments on how I was managing. The paths on the main hill were sheets of ice but they were better on the less frquented parts and still nice snow in places. The hill we headed for (1 of us clockwise and the other anti) had only one set of prints (Mr Rat's friend was up there yesterday) and I arrived at the top shortly before Mr Rat who'd done another hill. We ran down together for a short way before our routes diverged and I chatted to a women with a dog, the first other person I'd seen for over an hour. (and it was another half before there were more than 2).
Not much else to report from the day (and we hadn't stayed up to see in the New Year).
