New Years Day Walk

Tier 4 Lockdown - Day 7

I hope you all had a good New Years Eve. We had a rather late night, and after our Thai meal we had champagne in the Palace and then saw the New Year in with Chris Moyles who put on a fantastic gig from his home. He stayed on for 3.5 hours until 1.30am and at just £10 for a ticket, it was really good value.

After purchasing the ticket, Alan was emailed a link, so we watched it on his computer in the office, and with his new speakers connected, the sound was amazing! I made the office cosy with candles and we put the electric log burner in there, and had a great night!

By the time we went to bed it was about 2am, so we had a lazy start to the day today, only having breakfast at 11am. We went for a walk across the fields and saw the friendly horse who came over to see us again, I must take it some treats next time.

This afternoon I cooked a stuffed Goose breast and we had a roast dinner - it’s the first time we’ve had a goose and it was delicious, but we’re both stuffed now! I’m struggling to stay awake tonight so am going to go up to bed at 9pm. There’s a programme on Torvill and Dean that I want to see, so will watch it in bed as it’s not something Alan’s interested in.

Happy New Year!
