ICE!

Possibly the most dangerous and difficult photo I have ever taken - on a busy country lane, in the pitch black, and guessing the focus distance.... Anyway, what had been happening here is that each time people had driven through the puddle on the side of the road (which had NOT frozen) water was sprayed onto the adjacent vegetation / fence, which DID freeze, which is why you got these amazing ice formations. The temp was around zero - not enough to freeze the body of water, yet enough to freeze a thin layer. However it was formed, we loved it! You can see the ice reflected in the 'offending' puddle at the bottom.
