New Years Day

A New Year's Day sail - and a cracking day for it. And as there  were a couple of other boats out too we indulged in a bit of socially distanced social sailing. Then the others headed off to Inchkeith and we headed back to the warmth. And much later, the trad New Year’s Day steak pie.
And a dreadful Charlie Brooker look back at 2020 - and his Newswipe used to be so good. Instead he’s got megabucks from Netflix to concoct something which appeals to both sides of the pond and all it is is a limp satire, rather than taking aim at the media and sensationalism which he previously did so well.
What else? New variant whatsit sent the new case count up again, and Brexit is all done and dusted but only because we’ve all agreed we never want to hear the word again.
And Wardie Bay was mobbed which appalled some people. The appalled people phoned the police who turned up and said to all the adults on the beach, do you know you're on a beach? And do you know it's a maximum of two households per group. And everybody said yes. And the police went away again.
Happy New Year!
