Bassenthwaite Lake

We tried taking a new year walk up Little Dodd (by Skiddaw), but the path there never gets the Sun, and it was about 2" thick in hard sheet ice. As we didn't have any spikes with us today, we abandoned that, and walked down to St Bega's Church and the edge of Bassenthwaite Lake, (the only "lake" in the Lake District). It remained very overcast all day, but I thought the clouds were strong enough to make a fairly pleasing image.

Happy New year to you all
