Ghost of Christmas past

Christmas lights are still up, which is a good thing this time of the year: they add some light in what are some of the longest, darkest nights of the year.

Some snow would certainly brighten things up. But so far, with heavy cloud cover most of the time, this winter has been fiendishly dark.
