Home is where the friends are

This afternoon we headed for food at these lovely people's home. They've been building this home for a few years and the past 6 months or so it's been ready enough to live in. It's absolutely gorgeous, totally in keeping with Ibicenc architecture and surrounded by blossom and fruit trees. Dawn was an interior designer, so inside every detail has been thought out and beautifully executed. They cooked us a delicious lunch and the kids really enjoyed showing them some of the gifts they got. Asha was very happy as she stuck close to one of their (many) cats for the afternoon.
I was looking for a track for this photo and came across this - funnily enough Danny and I were listening to this band a lot when we lived in Paris, and I've been thinking about Paris a lot today (some stuff came up on my fb time hop)...so it seemed fitting to include it!

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Another slow morning - Asha was awake soooo late last night, unable to sleep. In fact she ended up watching a Bollywood with me.
2) John and Dawn's generosity and hospitality. John is Danny's tennis partner.
3) Taking the Christmas tree down and the house starting to feel a bit more normal - we've still got the Kings celebration to go here though!!
