Twice Bittern!

This is the second time that I've been fortunate in seeing the wonderful Bittern! Both times were from the Zeiss Hide at Slimbridge. Today's sighting was particularly special as we were treated to lenghy periods of fishing activity, hence this blip which shows the hunting technique he uses to devastating effect - beak in the water, eyes watching from above and then the sudden grab at any poor, unfortunate fish that swims too near. Focusing is always difficult in reed bed environments, so I was using manual quite a lot of the time, and it helped that the Bittern generally makes very slow movements!
