A Glimpse of Books

We have four, seven foot tall, bookshelves in our living room. I have bookshelves upon bookshelves in my study. We have books on shelves, stacked on tables, and on the end tables. Books. We like books.

But... I lack the time to read them.

I often tell herself that the first four months of retirement I’m just going to sit and read. I read a good deal for work, reports, studies, textbooks etc. So when I get home there isn’t much left for the joys of reading.

So there are days I look at these shelves and wonder if I’ll ever read like I used to read, again.

But hey, at least there are books to read. I am blessed in that department.
