LD 287 The moon at mid-day

Cabinet at 10.00 (by phone) to discuss the latest Covid situation and then before the FM statement I had to take part in a UK Government EU Exit / concurrent risks meeting.

During Cabinet I had a call (from Shelley, Kay's daughter) to tell me about the  death of my old and very dear friend Kay Ullrich, whom I had been calling and emailing regularly over the past couple of months  as her illness took hold.

So it was far from a good day, but at one stage I did glance out of the study to see this  - and took hope and promise where I could find it.
