Wellness Exam day

Merry is not happy with us at the moment. She had a quick trip to her vet clinic for her annual wellness check. She's very popular there and they love her vintage cat case as well. It was a hand me down in 1973 from a friend of a friend. Merry is very tolerant at the vets and even let Dr. Johnson have a quick peak at her molars. We knew some were not in good shape from a previous check when we were concentrating on her skin issues. That issue is under control, so now we will tend to her teeth. Abyssinians are notorious for bad teeth I've read, so it wasn't a surprise that some extractions are needed. The clinic is solidly booked dental procedures until spring, so April 5th is the day.

Merry's a pricey little nut brown nugget, but we love her so very much and want to keep her healthy. She will probably not appreciate our kind attentions. We have lots of trust in our vet and the clinic. The pandemic rules require the animal to go in with a tech, but the humans stay outside in the car. Dr. Johnson came outside after to discuss everything. We laughed this time about the still unfound black plastic tip which brought us to the vet clinic recently. A friend told me it must have joined the missing socks that are never, ever found.

Merry's avoiding me, I might be lurking with that case or a pill(she has a huge capsule every other day, but not today). You may notice the unused fountain behind the sink, she still prefers using our skills to turn on the water, cats! She had a big drink after her traumatic morning.

For the record,
This day came in with about an inch of snow, everything was frosted and gorgeous. No shoveling necessary, just the type of winter reminder we love.

All hands wary.
