Mining Remains

The village we live in now is very small and has a population of around 300, spread around in fincas or small holdings. The land is mainly used for agricultural these days.

In days of yore mining was the thing. This dates back to roman times ( we keep searching for remains! Ever hopeful) The hey day of the area was 1840 to 1918 when the demand for ore increased. I’m guessing this building dates from around then.

We waited all day for a log delivery. Around 3 I got bored and set off with Louis Theroux in my lugs for a walk. This building was on my route. Close by rabbit ridge!!
