Waiting for Power

I had a blood test today at the test centre in the offices above the town centre shopping mall. I walked in from home and noticed that all of the shops in the High Town area were closed, even though some were food and other essential shops. One of the shops had a sign up saying that they were shut due to a power failure.

This lady was waiting patiently in the launderette both when I was on my way in for the test, and still there waiting when I was walking home.
