Frosted Branches

Across the marsh, another tree is down, upending a large root ball. The tall trees surrounding it are covered in frosted white frozen snow. It looks pretty in the cold air and the alternation of black and white creates an interesting pattern. Even though colour is fading in the marsh grass, it provides some contrast to the predominance of white.

I made a round trip into Photoshop, using the smart sharpen filter, to bring out more fine details in the branches. I over sharpened on a separate layer and adjusted the opacity, before flattening and saving. I think it was worth it for this type of image. Lightroom is not so good with Fuji files (allegedly).
