A Close Shave

Only about a century ago most men in the UK that shaved used a simple mild-steel blade. The perversely named King Camp Gillette took the various safety designs that already existed and created the disposable razor blade in the modern design. In 1965 Wilkinson Sword made the blade out of stainless steel to prevent the blade from rusting. Modern razors have multiple blades, lubricating strips, aloe strips and smoothing stripts - this one even has wire guards and a 3D movement head...

Personally I'd say they work okay but I did actually prefer just having a beard and not bothering with them... However my better half said it looked scruffy - which it could do and it was scratchy...
