German Word Of The Day

Has to be "rollig".  It means a cat is in season.  There's a different adjective for dogs - eine läufige Hundin and it's eine rollige Katze.  I know there's another word for horses but to be honest, I think the chances of me ever talking about horses being in season are minute, so I don't care.

Chaiyya was hit by the hormone bomb very early this morning - about 3:30 a.m.  This caused her to wander around the house making very forlorn noises until about 9 a.m.  Then she was so tired, she had to sleep (nothing to eat) until 3:30 this afternoon when the second hormone bomb went off.

The noises she makes are not ones you can ignore.  I know we have both tried to look after her but she keeps wandering off and mieping.  I find it really difficult to concentrate on anything when she sounds so unhappy.

She's started up again.  It could be a LONG night.
