The day was like many previous Fridays. This morning there were some snow flurries and the weather was very cold here in Rishton. Needed the central heating on 21c to gain a sense of cosy warmth. Then turned it down to save energy.
I read and prayed and learnt about Christian Orthodox tradition.
I checked our e mails.
The most awful shock today was unexpected.
Thank God my dear husband is now on his way home after a car crash intk the central reservation of the motorway and the car is a write off. He is not certain whether it was ice on the motorway and it still is a massive feeling of shock for me. He says he is not injured, yet I can only consider how shock is a normal reaction. Thank God for the hard shoulder. Thank God for a kind driver who helped Paul and put on his car lights as he waited for rescue by RAC. The lessons within this unexpected event, are not yet processed, but he had not taken a warm coat and it was cold standing waiting.
