Lollipop And Honeysuckle

Every morning Ollie dog chooses an apple from the windfalls under the tree. She carries it for a while and then stops to eat it. I'm amazed how she manages to find a perfect specimen every time amongst all the rotting and worm-eaten fruit. She's much better than we are at picking a decent one. I can only think that she does it by smell.

When we walk around the lake I inhale deeply as there's a winter flowering honeysuckle in bloom. It smells gorgeous and I thank my lucky stars that I haven't got Covid which can rob one of a sense of smell.

Nice to see a troupe of long-tailed-tits. Some people call these lollipop birds.
