Winter starling....

.....in the sunlight today. I put the camera with the long lens up in the kitchen and used my remote shutter to try and capture the birds. I was really after the blue or coal tits but ....of course....they immediately all disappeared and we were left withe gang of starlings :) I love the colour which always appears in their wings once in sunlight [ today's colour splash].
Mum came round for lunch and sat and chatted while I sewed which was nice ...it gave her a change of scene which is a challenge at the moment.
