River Len at Otham Mill

Various tasks filled the morning. We did Joe Wicks first thing then I had a Zoom call about some training we’re doing on Essential Digital Skills for staff in prisons in the next couple of months.

It was dull and cold this afternoon not conducive to a walk. We went anyway. Today’s blip is of the River Len at Otham which was the best I could do given the conditions.

Despite being in lockdown traffic seems as busy as ever. The lanes we walked today were buzzing with cars, more than we expected. Perhaps they were driving locally for exercise?

I was disturbed to read on the The BBC News app of a story of two people who drove 5 miles in separate cars to a local walking spot taking a coffee with them. They were surprised to be issued with a fine by Derbyshire police. The police did not deem it local and they saw the coffee as a picnic. I’ll say no more than that.
