Mt. Jefferson

I was off to another area for a short time and happened to drive by several of the beautiful mountain ranges in the area.  This is Mt. Jefferson - which is actually comprised of several peaks. The evergreen trees in front are bristlecone pines - one of my very favorite trees.  They are very slow growing but live for a very long time.  I suspect that a lover of these trees planted them here many years ago, since they don't occur naturally here.  

This actually yesterday's blip.  I didn't have time to post it last night since I needed to pack up to check out of my hotel room.
