WINTER AUTOCROSS

It's Winter Autocross time at Road America and I spent the day out there shooting. There are three classes for private automobiles......AWD, FWD and RWD. Drivers compete for fastest time around a course in the snow with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals on the line. These photos are from the Motorplex course...not on the main race track. There were about 80+ competitors today. There will be other sessions in February and in March. Hopefully there will be more snow between now and then.

One sees all sorts of car types out there from common sedans to more expensive BWMs, Audis and Porsches. It's a nice place to see what your car can do in the snow, learn how to handle it and do it without the fear of getting a ticket from the long arm of the law.
