Hummingbird study

He initiated it, showing off the fancy colors. Same bird, sitting in the same spot, the colorful shots are in the extras. Not sure how he does it!
We had a pleasant day. I baked cardamom rolls and huckleberry pie - the usual Christmas faire - for a special guest to arrive next week. 
We attempted some outside work, clearing fallen limbs and debris under the birch trees along the driveway. Then the (old) truck would not start, was stuck on the driveway...John got the neighbor with a tractor to help tow it out of the way, and now we have to decide how to proceed with it.
