Monster trucks

We enjoyed a nice country run through GinGin then on to Bindoon, we stopped for a picnic lunch enjoying the cool of the day.
On the way home the traffic came to a halt, we were all told to pull over onto the hard shoulder, not one but two monster trucks with escort vehicles were heading our way, the farmer in the truck in front pulled over first he had 4 of his cattle in the back of his ute perhaps moving them to better pastures? we watched the poor things becoming agitated as the wait time grew, eventually the monsters came in sight, they were BIG! they took up the whole road.
Extra is where we stayed for lunch in Bindoon, the grass is looking very scorched now, Summer always reminds me of this famous Australian poem.
the 2nd verse of the poem.

I love a sunburnt country
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of drought and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel- sea,
Her beauty and her terror
The wide brown land for me.
