LD 293 First shot

Literally - the first shot from a new trail camera I have been trying in the wood above the study.    It has been for 8 days, but on checking this morning I found that  all I have caught on this first experiment is the rear end of a deer, recorded just over a week ago at 2.00 am on a very frosty morning.   

I had placed the camera  in what I thought was a good spot for deer coming down from the hill but obviously it needs to be re-positioned and indeed as I was coming back from the site I noticed abundant deer scat further down the hill and a bit closer to the house so that is a possible new position for it .  

All interesting though and in constant pursuit of interesting pictures, discovering by trial and error !
