Between fen and mountains

Nothing deters the bellringers

I woke up this morning and looked out of the window to discover a foot of snow on the ground. We battled our way to ringing.  Only five of made it and we constituted the whole congregation. We all came back for a lunch together.  I was amazed at how quickly the council workmen were out in the village. The little snow plough and the gritting lorry were clearing the streets first thing and after lunch a man with a small snow blower cut a pedestrian path along our narrow street. A man with a shovel came behind him to help out.
