Napoleonic wars

I cycled to meet a friend for a local bike ride, we worked out what we could safely do that was in the ‘spirit’ of the regulations to use the latest buzz phrase. On my way I paused at the Norman Cross Eagle. It’s a memorial to French prisoners of war held here over 200 years ago - over 30,000 of them.
