Heron - Nest building.

Went out looking for the grebe pair I found on the 15th but they were nowhere to be seen. I suspect they have moved to one of the lakes on the nearby golf course where it is a lot quieter.
Instead I spent a happy hour or so watching the herons nest building on one of the islands on the lake. There were several pairs present and the males? would swoop down onto the island and collect twigs and branches which they then transported back to the nest.
