With icing or without?

Fabulous walk this morning. A walk I haven't done in ages: so long in fact Caley had never been before. Wasn't our intended destination but completely missed the turn off for our planned walk ( possibly due to blethering) but all was not lost as we ended up with a very pleasant walk. Crispy snow underfoot in places and more of that wonderful sunshine!
Quite a productive day followed and even time to rustle up some gingerbread. Our only dilemma being to ice or not? I'm a fan of it plain but I do know the boys like it with an icing top. As you can see I went with keeping everyone happy; one of each!

Recipe for Mary Berry's Gingerbread Traybake
Melt 8oz margarine and 8oz soft brown sugar with 10oz syrup & 10oz treacle.
Add 1lb self raising flour and 2tsp ground ginger & 2tsp mixed spice and stir well. Finally add 4 beaten eggs and 4 tbsp milk. Mix and put in lined 9" by 12" tin. Bake at 160 for about 50 mins.
