My Mum

I'm not going out today, nowhere to go and no one to take me.
But as it's mono Monday I thought this blip might be OK
Today would have been my Mum's 100th birthday, but sadly she left us a few years ago
She was 18 when the 2nd world war happened. She didn't join up though as she as an entertainer. She had toured music halls in the UK, and after war was declared was involved in troops entertainment.
She was about 20 here
One of her friends was Vera Lynn, before she was a dame and they lived quite close to each other
After the war she became a test driver for Jaguar cars in Coventry. A very unusual role for a woman in them olden days!
But then, she was a very unusual lady
