Emma

I received the new film adaptation of Emma on Blu-ray for Christmas and finally got round to watching it this afternoon. It was really lovely. The perfect antidote to the depressing times we're living in at the moment. The cinematography is stunning, as is the music. I loved Mark Strong as Mr Knightley back in the 90s TV film, but Johnny Flynn has nudged ahead now. Plus he sings, plays the violin and gets his kit off in the first 10 minutes! Don't remember that in the book ;-)

The dance sequence between Knightley and Emma was so beautiful ♥♥

If you're a fan of Austen and/or period drama you'll probably love it. But if you don't, you won't :-)
