Street talk

A successful Zoom meeting, followed by an afternoon of book-keeping, pretty much occupied a rather breezy and overcast day. I had two short car journeys to take Alex out to Orton Pit, where he's doing vegetation management this week, but otherwise didn't venture beyond the garden.

Around sunset the sky briefly developed some rather beautiful clouds, best in the north-east, at the front of our house, which is why you also get the telegraph post and wires. Although we have cable in the street, and will soon have fibre-optic broadband, many people still rely on BT - a vital connection in this weird socially distant world.
