Cut

7:15. Woke up. Shuffled into the kitchen. Put the light on. Put the kettle on. 5 seconds later there’s a funny fizzing sound and the lights and kettle turn off.
Damn. Grab the head torch and go to the consumer unit. Hmm. No switches have tripped. And every circuit is dead. And the electricity meter is dead. Shit.

Power cut pretty much all day. No heating. No kettle. No WiFi!!!! Drained the battery on the laptop and used the camping stove to boil water for a cuppa.

Back up now, with the warning that it might have to go off again (hopefully not until tomorrow - it’s freezing and dark here)
