Burns Beck Moss

With a bright sunny day at last we ventured out to our nearby CWT nature reserve. We felt some great ‘alpricity’ as we just stood on the hill with the sun warming our faces! (This lovely old word was introduced to us by the weather man this evening, and just means ‘ the warmth of the sun in winter’ so let’s all try and feel some!)
The team has been busy replacing some of the boardwalks which is great as the water level is high. We carried on across the road to Stone Park and saw six buzzards soaring high up.
There was a group of people taking photos in the lane, and when I approach them they showed me some beautiful rugs they were doing an outside photo shoot for their website!
They are called Gneiss Rugs, with wool from the Isle of Lewis.
Strange but true!
At home the hens made a rush for the gate and demanded some grazing time, they are desperate for greens so I let them out in a pen for a few minutes. Hope this hen lockdown doesn’t last too much longer. (See extra)
