Whooper Swans on the Peedie Sea

Lots of birds on the Peedie Sea today, including a dozen or so mute swans. I saw two begin to take off and photographed them as they passed. They started 'whooping' and I realized that they were indeed whoopers and not mutes. They landed and seemed to be busy with some bonding behaviour, displaying as in the shot. Nearby, on the sea by the Corn Slip, there was a red-throated diver (extra). I like the diver shot but went with the swans because I like the pose- like an orchestral conductor.
