Papatakaro

This is a traditional Maori game that we got as a Christmas present. It is great that we have lots of friends who give us gifts they have made themselves. The board and the bag to keep the marbles in are both homemade.

This year we also got things like homemade apple juice, marmalade, tomato ketchup and chutney.

We also made marmalade (with a splash of whisky in it) as a present as well as artworks and Christmas decorations.

We need a few practice goes with Papatakaro - it's one of those deceptively simple-looking games that I suspect requires strategy and a sharp mind.
