What a tough life being a fisherman is. I think there are only two men out on this boat, one steering and the other doing the business. It must be a long and cold day. There are three working boats in the village, the other two had just come in to the pier but this one, the green boat, was still out in the bay.
We were returning from the circuit major, enjoying a bright day after three days of murk. Two cyclists went by, there was a shout of Amanda, one stopped rather abruptly and the other went straight into her, bikes akimbo. To us they fell rather elegantly but there will be bruises. It was M, who I hadn't seen since before we went to New Zealand, and her friend T. A quick chat and they limped off. Oh dear, what an effect we have on people!
And thanks for the kind words re my Pa. I had been thinking about general loss that we all inevitably have to face, but I guess it struck a chord with the current awful situation re Covid. Poor Bantry, having had only 5 cases before Christmas, is now rife.
The extra - another view and a bat! Either out early or late!
