Mr Fatty

I put out some coconuts with fat and some peanuts for the wee birds in the garden about a month ago. The fat started disappearing much faster than I had expected. I soon found the thief one day when I was sitting in the sun. - He balanced on a nearby twig and took huge lumps of the stuff at once and then wiped his beak on a branch.

Then, I came home the other day and he was ripping clumps of bristles out of the front door mat, presumably for his nest with his fat wife.

Today, he sat and watched me eat my brekky with his beady eye on my toast and coffee.
