Bolted. Horse. Stable door. Shut.

This may come as a shock to those based in NZ, but the UK has pretty much no restrictions on people coming in from overseas. Arguably our infection rate is so high that people coming from anywhere actually reduce the average, but this still seems a little stupid when there are new variants that might not be covered by the vaccine.

But the government have recently discovered that we are an island - I know, I was shocked too - and now plan to stop people from dangerous countries coming in. I mean, not right away, obviously. Monday probably. No rush.

At times it feels like we are living in an elaborate prank show. Or we’ve all died and this is ‘The bad place’.
