Pastels

I’ve got some pastels, too. I chose the same subject as my sketch.

I watched a video on YouTube about how to draw furry animals with pastels. The lady used pastel pencils. I don’t have pastel pencils. She said to do lots of layers and to do lots of blending. She said the pastel pencils helped you get a photorealistic picture of the fur.

I only succeeded in making my gorgeously cute furry friend look flat and ugly. It made me sad. So I looked at his real face, except I couldn’t because it was hidden because he was curled up asleep – which made me smile :)
