Life through the lens...

By ValC

Winter wonderland.

Sat with a cup of coffee and Christmas cake, watching the snow falling off the trees, as the sun warms the branches.
Such a beautiful day.
However we decided not to risk driving to the farm shop. Partly because the car doors were frozen.
So it was a nice crisp walk down to the village.
OK in the deep snow, but very icy on paths where the snow had been trodden down.

Walking through the church yard Mr C noticed the smiling face. ( see collage) which made us laugh.
The other photos were taken looking through different windows in the house.
As it is Flower Friday the main photo is our orchid. Seems to thrive on the windowsill.

Just before we set off this morning, we had a telephone call from my sister, who couldn’t wait to tell us they had just had their Covid jabs. The phone call came yesterday.
She is 72, 4 years younger than me,
They live in Wyke, Bradford, so their doctor is certainly on the ball.
She was full of praise for the excellent way they had been dealt with. She said she could tell they were smiling by their eyes!
So being in Kirklees, hoping we won’t have too long to wait.
