Local road flooded on Thursday 14th January 2021

When we get lengthy periods of rain, as we have had this winter on several occasions, our local stream overflows because it can't get under the bridge. This time it was made worse because what is usually little more than a ditch coming in from the right was bringing down a significant excess of water. Note: I was annoyed with myself in not being quick enough getting out of the car to capture a shot as a Landrover came through the water creating a spectacular spray! The stream (we call it a brook) joins the River Lark which eventually joins the Great Ouse at Ely on its way to the Wash.
