Springburn Winter Gardens

Decided on a quick Blip here on my way to Click and Collect.

I've blipped it previously  -  usually optimistically  anticipating restoration after lying derelict since 1983.   The latest information reveals plans for it to be turned into a community hub and there is reason to be optimistic as work has apparently started on the City's other derelict Winter Gardens at Tollcross.

There is also a link between this Winter Garden and the one in the Botanic Gardens in Christchurch New Zealand which is also being restored following the earthquake in 2011.
