A cold early bike ride with a slight detour to catch something on the river. There were a few redshanks and this lone little egret. It's a biggish bird to be called 'little' but the great egret is rather larger.
The afternoon was spent planing the shed door and clearing the gutters (please see extra.)
Not long after taking the extra, I had to effect a roof top rescue. Spouse had clambered down onto the flat roof from a bedroom window, but then found out the window was too high up to climb back into!
If you're wondering why it wasn't me on the roof clearing the gutters, it was because I'd drawn the short straw, having to stand underneath holding a trug, whilst large handfuls of soggy moss and soil were thrown down (much of which landed on me.)
