Estey Organ

A couple of years ago, we were told that this organ was most likely 1920's and hence not suitable for display in our little museum.  So we mounted a campaign to try and find another home for it.

The first thing to do was contact the SA Organ Society.  Their response was surprising and very interesting.  It turns out that this is an Estey Organ, produced in USA, and is dated between 1890 and 1895.

So of course we have to keep it - which doesn't alter the fact that we don't have a display space for it.  We need all the room we can get in the  Coach House for afternoon teas.  So it will stay where it is, in the store room.

A pity because it's a lovely piece.  The expert from the SA Organ Society has offered to come and have a look at it for us; maybe he'll be able to get it working again.
