Second visit to the new Chau Chak Wing Museum for a look at the exhibition on photography in the mid- to late 19th century - the big city studios, their proprietors and employees; travelling photographers; stories of technological advances, competition and loss. Overheard a young man tell his friend that people didn’t smile back then because they feared their soul would be stolen. Zip.

My own museum photos weren’t that good, so instead there’s more evidence of my growing footwear fetish.
