Two Men & A Post

Some slight, hurrah! Chores in the morning and although the sun was shining we both felt a bit lethargic. Nonetheless boots were put on and we headed out west, parked in Dromnea then turned right up onto the hills. The going was steep and squelchy but the views sublime and remote. Back down along a windy road, onto the main road and right (now facing the other direction) to the lake and up onto the cliffs. A bigger walk than we anticipated but we felt good for it. Quite  a few things of interest enroute:
a lot of bog
the original teeny settlement that became Kilcrohane - the top of one building just popping up in the extra, Founded by St Crohane who was so hardcore he slept with his feet poking out of his very tiny cabin (so we were reliably told)
a ringfort with majestic views and fat walls
a cilleen - burial place for the unbaptised
an 8 year old driving a tractor (very well)
a stone row
a lot of cattle in a shed
4 alpacas, three goats and a donkey
a lot of sea
the remains of the bardic school
a lot of lake
2 swans
a man in his shorts - he's the one on the right, the other is Himself emerging over the brow of the hill.
