Lala's Journal

By Lala

More of the same

It did stop raining around 3pm, so Dog and I did a pavement walk, far too wet and muddy up on the green. Did however meet up with Glenda and her dog Sally. We chatted for about half an hour, she’s well in her 80s and husband Jim has been poorly with his heart problem. We have a lot in common as Jim used to be the village ‘Bobby’ in Leeds many years ago. She kept telling me how lovely it was to talk to someone other than Jim.

James has been negotiating with a buyer for the house, and they have finally agreed a price. Now he has to decide whether to rush a purchase or try to find a short term rental. Both are in short supply!

Photo of the drowning garden and hydrangea I hope to be able to dead head soon, as long as the danger of frost has passed!
