Revealing

Not a stream as such, but the slow movement of water underneath opened up a patch in the snow as temperatures crept above freezing. I liked the shape of the snow promontory jutting out into the dark space of muddy leaves. The constant ebb and flow of things being hidden and exposed provides some interest in the otherwise bland white terrain.

I toyed with increasing contrast, taking the darks toward black and flattening the whites, to make it more about shape. But something in me is not ready to make that step, I'm still hooked on the detail and textures.
