La vida de Annie

¿Dónde está Buster?

New State of Alarm day 81.
The vet thought he was much improved, and we could pick him up. However, in the half hour it took to drive there, he took a turn for the worse and looked a very sorry sight. While we were there,  convinced it would be the last time we'd see him alive, the vet did an x-ray which showed an enlarged pancreas, and also a blood test which confirmed that there lay the problem. She put him on a drip feed, gave antibiotics and anti-inflammatories, wrapped him up and put him back in his heated cage to rest. I suspect that because he was so tiny (see link) when we got him, we gave him high-fat food from the start to build him up. Yorkies are prone to pancreatitis apparently, so we were actually killing him with kindness. The next few days would be vital. At this point it could have gone either way, and if we'd not taken him to the vet when we did, he would certainly have died.
Minnie2 is very puzzled about where her step-brother has gone, and sniffed my arms where I'd held him.
